Bulk bags, also known as Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers (FIBC) or jumbo bags, are an affordable and practical method of packaging used for the transportation and storage of bulk goods like powders and grains. Currently, the following sectors use bulk bags: Manufacturers of chemical and petrochemical products makers of food (e.g. sugar, flour, spices, wheat, milk powder) concerning construction (e.g. cement, granite, sand) Products relating to agriculture (e.g. fertilizers, animal feed, grass). applications in industry (e.g. scrap materials, copper coils & slag, sludge waste) Polypropylene woven fabrics that have been protected against UV deterioration are used to make FIBC bags. Depending on the bag shape and size, each bulk bag may hold loads weighing between 500 kg and 2000 kg with a safety ratio of 5:1 or 6:1 (5:1 is for single use & 6:1 is for multiple use or for UN bags). To offer further defence against moisture infiltration, an optional LDPE inner liner can be added.
